Second grade continues the American curriculum with a focus on deeper comprehension, more complex writing, and building independence as learners.
Reading fluency and comprehension with longer texts. Writing includes paragraphs, revision, and editing. Vocabulary and grammar are integrated daily.
Addition and subtraction with larger numbers, introduction to multiplication concepts, measurement, and data. Real-world applications are emphasized.
Life cycles, matter, earth systems, and simple experiments. Students learn to ask questions, make predictions, and record observations.
Structured use of devices and educational software to support learning and creativity. Digital citizenship is introduced.
