Fourth grade prepares students for upper elementary with stronger emphasis on reading for meaning, multi-step math, and independent learning habits.
Reading across genres with focus on analysis and inference. Writing includes essays, research, and narrative with clear structure.
Multi-digit operations, fractions and decimals, geometry, and data. Word problems and reasoning are central.
Physical science, life science, and earth science units with hands-on investigations and lab reports.
Organization, note-taking, and time management are explicitly taught to support academic success.
