Third grade marks a shift toward more independent work and deeper thinking. The curriculum is designed to develop critical thinking and collaboration.
Comprehension of longer texts, including main idea and supporting details. Writing includes research projects and multi-paragraph compositions.
Multiplication and division, fractions, area and perimeter, and problem-solving. Students explain their reasoning and use multiple strategies.
Inquiry-based units in science and social studies. Students conduct research and present findings.
Group projects and presentations build communication and teamwork skills in our multicultural environment.
